Shared note | ROYDHOUSE - Thomas Bradford Roydhouse, Sr., 72, passed away at his home early Thursday morning, September 6th, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Roydhouse was born in Annapolis, Maryland but had lived in Jacksonville since he was discharged from active duty in the U. S. Navy in 1949. After serving in the PT Boat squadrons, he began a 52year career with Drummond Press Inc. while continuing service in the Naval Reserve. He rose through the company to become VicePresident of Operations and continued to work, despite his illness, until this past August. A devoted husband and father, he worshipped at North Jacksonville Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Elizabeth M. Roydhouse, daughter, Susan Roydhouse Davis, three sons, Thomas Bradford Roydhouse, Jr. (Lynda), Michael Joseph Roydhouse (Dana) and David Roydhouse; stepdaughter, Teresa Miles, stepson, Michael Andrew Lamendola, brother, Chuck E. Roydhouse (Ann), stepsister, Shirley Bender (Leonard), three grandchildren, one great grandchild, eight stepgrandchildren, four step great grandchildren, dear friends, Diane and Bob Falconetti and their sons John and Robbie, and a large extended family. The Reverend Chris Coram will lead Memorial services at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of HardageGiddens Funeral Home, 4315 Main St., with private interment at a later date.
